This is a listing of cost of modifications to weapons and armor ranging from the mundane to the extreme. There is also quite a bit of optional add-ons and a few new pieces of equipment that seemed appropriate for the 25th century. This is primarily designed for any PL6-8 game but much of it can apply in just about any game.
Feel free to submit me more ideas and feedback so I can continue to tweak and improve on this.
(Updated January 2nd 2010)
Intended as a holistic resource for players and GMs looking to beef up their game's PL5 arsenal, the Alternity Modern Armoury brings Alternity's firearm and equipment selection firmly into the 21st century.
Although a constant work in progress this resource currently contains stats for almost seventy new or updated firearms, a dozen new kinds of body armour, as well as a bunch new weapon attachments and ammunition types.
In the next release I hope to add a section on melee weapons, followed by explosives, heavy weapons, vehicles and other miscellaneous hardware that doesn't quite fit anywhere else.
Please note that this resource was in its earliest inception a speculative resource on mid-21st century weapons technology, so there may still be a few innocuous statements hidden throughout the resource relating to the 2030s and whatnot. I think I've managed to (finally) find and remove them all, but if you do manage to find any please let me know.
- Update 1 Charge Weapons category added, Sub categories of Rifles and Pistols added to Charge Weapons.
My new Grotto if you will. A more refined approach and organization of weapons. At the moment all that is really ready is 3 weapon classes. Rail-guns, Staple-guns, and Enhanced Lasers including a laser cannon. I'll later be submitting updates of files containing indexes looking something like Rifles - 1, Charge, 2 Energy, 3 Misc etc. You'll get the idea as I go. I'll be announcing updates in my weapons thread probably paired with "Specialty weapons" updates ^_- Or something like that. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this little escapade of mine. And as always, if you need custom hardware you know where to find me.
PL 2 Armor! I wouldn't recommend this for a campaign with many energy weapons, because the different damage types would get in the way. If you think that i've made any errors in the weight/protection of the armor, feel free to tell me.make/view comments view/download 3.6 Kb rtf
The first edition of the VeloTech Armoury, containing 7 new armours, 9 helmets, 9 weapons, 6 sidearms, 2 melee weapons, and a selection of 6 custom combat packages, plus additional rules for high-explosive ammunition types, and determining mass and hide values.make/view comments view/download 132.8 Kb pdf
This is a bare bones list of every last PL6, 7, and 8 weapon I could find in my collection in "generic form." Some are my own creation, some are from Externals ESD, and some are from the PHB. These have not been fully balanced (that's taking place in a separate spreadsheet), but except for my own stuff, this is all "official." Shadow_Priest has some stuff at the bottom for a secret project he's working on. ;-)make/view comments view/download 59.5 Kb xls
This is a listing of additional Arms and Armor I created for a PL6 Tangents game I planned. They will work with just about any PL6 or 7 game however.make/view comments view/download 125 Kb doc
This is what happens when I get bored...yes, these stats are rather more deadly (for the most part) than PHB or even S*D AEG stats. This is because I go for a certain effect, and the statistics that used to exist just didn't give me that effect. I kept some of the weapons the same, but only if they were sufficiently deadly as is.
And well, I couldn't avoid adding some new fun toys. Thus the nuclear and matter warheads for bantams. Oh, and the mini grav-missiles. For those who don't use Warships, anything with Light firepower, I guess would do "Amazing Plus" damage. Hehehehe.
This is a massive overhaul of the original Red Earth Weapons and equipment guide. The Players can buy out of their salary and bonuses any of these basic items whenever their commander approves of the purchase. I did not include the kit as I am going to do an overhaul of that section as well and submit it separately... 5 Pages long... Enjoy!
UPDATE! Added some formatting as I realized that the submission looks very hard to read.
The Encyclopedia of Melee Weapons is finally here. Updated to Version 2, a full 31 pages long, with additional rules and customizations for your favorite weapons!make/view comments view/download 744.1 Kb pdf
