This is a work in progress. Real Life events seem to conspiring against it at the moment but I vow to finish it even if takes until 3rd Edition Alternity is released :-)

This is latest one, it should repaire the annoying lack of word wrap on the pictures.

First thing i've gotta do is fix the damn pictures. For some reason the word wrap doesnt seem to translate when saving the file as a PDF file. Doh!

Pretty darn good. I'd take me a long time to get my lazy butt to do something similar.
If you think the Rating is low, it's because of that pictures (arg) and also because you need to keep cost in mind-alas, it is impossible to pay 110K for a small mech and 150 for an oversized!! Costs should be steep-big mechs should only be afforded by rich people and governments. Finally, this goes for the engines as well, and some names wouldn't hurt there either [i(d)e(st) something like plane engines, I cant remember a name now, because I dont really like type VI and II and all that numeral stuff without some spicing up]

Nice, I've been wanting to have Mecha in an Alternity Campaign.

A word on the costs, as I said, its still a work in progress.
If the costs seem to low when I've finished I'll up em. However, think of this. The Bigger the mech, the more you put in the more money you spend on systems. Just A thought. Also, it's not that unrealistic. Compare the cost of a new store-bought PC with one you build yourself. On the "open market", Mechs would propbaly have a higher price tag then their construction cost suggests.

Lol, I rate it again because I had time to read carefully. Thanks for fixing the pics, but I'm afraid there's also something more: Isn't it a bit limited with Durability and engines? I mean, I have a Medium Bot with Moderate armor, plus Type II engine and all I can get in is a meager 5 Dur for systems! Something has to be done with engines. Maybe something like percentages, dunno. Anyway, I'd also appreciate some explanation on how mechs are supposed to work etc. Finally, since many people (including) myself, dont have the GMG, we dont know squat about those guns. Machine guns and cannons are self explanatory, but others are not.

P.S.: Why don't you make this a project?

Impressive. I'm gonna rate it when its more complete, but is seems like a classic in the making (=
Very cool.

I plan on using this rule in a new campaign. Just had the idea of running a campaign set in the Macross universe somewhere. I bought the entire Macross TV Series on DVD yesterday and the Macross 7 Trash mangas (quite different time-line) and also have the Macross Plus episodes on VHS. I want to get a 'feeling' of the setting first, getting to know it, surfing the net for resources and such.. I found some technical specs for Macross Mechas. Perhaps I will be able to share some knowledge on the Mecha rules.. In the meanwhile, if you have any 'recommended' material, either for Mechas or Macross it would be appreciated!

Keep it up!

Mech fans should try Monolith's 1998 computer game "Shogo". Pure fun, lots of eyecandy, but only average action. A personal favorite that failed on the markedplace. hmmm...that rings a bell.

As i posted in the forums, if anyone has a fix for the engine durability problem, could they email it me on blaster219@hunter-net.co.uk

This clearly took a very long time, but the presentation is top notch. The pictures were excellet--where did you find them? There were a few grammar errors; normally I wouldn't even mention that, but the whole thing looks so completely professional!

Personally I'm not into mechas very much, but it looks like you did a terrific job.
