It seems a bit lawless for the Stellar Ring, especially with the inclusion of a halfway-serious warship. Trader stats are easy but a GM might benefit from some suggested example for the other ship.

This was one of my weakest (and last) productions back in 2003. I was in a hurry and to be honest rushed this part. The emphasis is on the fact that space is never safe, especially if there is an Austrin around, or a T'sa for that matter, but they at least taste like chicken ;-)

I'm arguing against myself, I know, but there could be recognised privateer designs - the suggested opponents seem quite appropriate to have them - that are better organised and perhaps slightly better armed than the various charmingly raffish pirate ships in published sources.

For the adventure to go beyond 'bash 'em over the head, then drag 'em back to the cave', perhaps a sense of intrigue can be deepened, e.g.
- Tornstram and the Durant discovered disturbing astronomical anomalies in the asteroids surveyed, hitherto unobserved and unreported
- signs that the Austrin/Ontis gun run is a cover for something apparently more sinister
