Very interesting career based upon the Mind Walker profession. I would like to see some information on the non-psionic partner mentioned in this write-up. Why, besides complementing each other's strengths and weaknesses, are the two paired together? Is it always the case that a Mindwatch Detective is paired with a non-psionic partner? What is the title of the partner?

No psychometry?

The partner is left to the imagination of the GM. It could be that the mindwalking partner (the Mindwatch detective) is paired up with the best candidate for a particular case, or maybe two mindwalkers are assigned together under very special circumstances. I thought it would allow for a player picking this kind of character the ability to have another player as his partner regardless of the race and abilities. I also thought it was i an interesting take...one that the show Heroes ended up borrowing from me for the series "one of them, and one of us" (ok not really that was a coincidence)

Fascinating!
Could be further developed:
- uncle_jimbo's comment above about adding Psychometry
- what optimal pairings of non-psionic and psionic partners would you suggest as examples?

It was just a thought. Mind reading is pretty useful for confronting suspects, so the career works well by focusing on that skill and on field effectiveness. Perhaps Mindwatch employs specialists in crime scenes and long-range remote viewing.

Also brings to mind Judges Anderson and Dredd working together (great to see she'll be in the new movie) though their background is fairly close to the antithesis of the Orion League.

I think a common thread in uncle_jimbo's suggested pairings, are any two individuals with a common cause but disparate specialisations, regardless of the social background and game setting.
Imagine Charlie Eppes of Numb3rs working with a brilliant mindwatcher.
