A brief step-by-step guide, hopefully straightening out some of the less clear decision points for creating robot characters using the "Dataware" sourcebook. Added a table with the Action Penalty for each type of casing, including some suggested changes.
Update: Sub-headings for active memory and manipulators, cost of Good and Amazing robots

All I get is 2 blank pages. Is it broken?

I like your Modifications > Consequences.
I kept thinking back to R2D2 as I went down the list, and found myself nodding, thinking, "Yes, this feels so right & real, it should work as intended to!"

@mc_kastle: Downloads and opens OK for me in Acrobat Reader 9. It shouldn't affect the formatting, which is pretty basic, if I post it as an older PDF version, in case that's causing problems.

Updating Acrobat is mandatory, thanks to some security flaws in old versions which can allow virus attacks by opening a PDF file.

I get a "404 file not found" error myself.

I see the problem (if not the solution) - from my most recent update, robot1_3.pdf has been deleted and robot1_32.pdf has been uploaded, but the resource page hasn't been updated. Will raise this on the forum.

That fixed it.

pretty good, but adding the tables you indicate in several paragraphs (e.g., PL level and corresponding ability requirements) would make it much easier for the poor amongst us who don't have the dataware sourcebook. (like me). aside from that, it all looks good.
