Some Improvements-Ideas in SQuAT - Alternity Character Tool

I was using SQuAT to make some characters, and I came up with a couple ideas:

Make a customizable option for both character traits, morality, and motivation.

Make the durability boxes checkable in the final export sheet.

These two things would make SQuAT much more user friendly when it comes to using in actual game sessions.

Just update the data\config.xml

Browser changes in the last few years have made the Wingdings font, non-printable... So those check boxes currently display as a "q".

NOTE: It has been on my list to fix that for nearly 36 months now. Eventually...

They don't look like Q's to me.

I get an error message whenever I try to open the data\config file. It reads: "There was a problem sending the command to the program."

Open a Text Editing program (like Notepad) first, then open the file from within the program. Be sure to save as 'plain text' rather than a format which uses fancy fonts and layout (ie not .doc)

We just started using squat last session for a new Alternity home brew game, and it is great.

The guys were wondering what the string of q's were, along with the requisite next gen jokes.

I figured it was some kind of font problem, as you've said.

And now, finally, years later, that font problem is fixed!
