Fading Suns describes a mode of gameplay as a neo-mediaeval tale of struggle between good and evil, with every action weighted with great significance.

Yellow Sky, as described in the Star Compendium, could be a suitable location for such a game, with the importance of belief in the Divine and Dire Unconscious, attempts to use higher technology of older times and the influence of the church, or rather churches.

I'm interested in the 5,000 colonists who took the opportunity to escape Yellow Sky at re-contact by the Orlamu. They might cause considerable trouble where they ended up. Most likely, they might have wanted to relocate to Bluefall, but might have stopped on the way, particularly those fearful of what waits in drivespace - so a number of the most difficult cases might be one starfall away, at Oberon.

Heretics and Outsiders might be a useful source to describe not so much supernatural events themselves (which are in Aliens and Deviltry) but humans concerned with them.
