No, not a recipe.

The heroes are created normally, but are replaced by the GM when they die. Life on Gamma Terra lives in waves of mutants that appear, have their 10 minutes in the sun and then are replaced by the next big thing. So if the PSH the players start with die from an invasion of badders, the next set of heroes will be the badders that killed the previous characters. And then the badders are killed by worms that suddenly became intelligent monsters when one of the heroes popped open a case containing uranium. Now the heroes are the worms. And so on.

How much turn over depends on how much the players are into this and how much time the GM has in creating the new character sheets.

Interesting. So are you talking actual hero replacement, or are they essence which possesses a new body after the previous one was destroyed? Because that second sounds awfully Gamma to me.

The former, but the latter does have presidence (sp) in the universe. The Mutation Manual for Met Alpha does have a mental mutation that makes the character's mind immortal and able to take a chain of hosts.
