Classic D&D PDFs are back in General Zone

If you haven't heard, WotC has re-released several D&D and AD&D adventures & supplements as PDFs for sale at DnDclassics.com and Drivethrustuff.com. They plan to release more PDF books in the near future.

I've picked up several more that I hadn't bought when they were last on offer, as well as a much-improved scan of Temple of Elemental Evil.

It's what I might call core D&D supplements for the different editions, with a heading, but no products as yet, for Eberron. I haven't seen mention of PDFs for other settings or game lines.

Two things that should be noted:

1) You can download what you purchased before without paying again (as long as it is still in your library, really old downloads are not)

2) The 3e pdfs were full book price when they were sold before and now apparently are half price

It could provide some interesting data, if Wizards are inclined to use it.

Now, should we port that rule Monte Cook wrote into D&D Next, or use the Tom Moldvay version? Hmm."

I read that just now off rpgnow.com. The drivethrurpg.com list is much the same, if anything with more 1st edition. dndclassics.com also has no 2nd, 3rd or 4th edition products in the top 15.

Probably because people already have plenty of 3e and 4e.

B/X is nice, but I'd rather get my BECMI back.

I'm also waiting for the S modules, and a bundle of the Bs.

And the B-Modules have been bundled. $50 is a trifle steep, though.

I mostly play Savage Worlds these days, but that didn't stop me. grabbing B1 for a freebie. Will have to look through my old modules and see what else I'm missing.

Now if only they made some actual pdfs of Alternity and sold those as well.

Give them time, and they might.

I picked up the N-series bundle, and started flipping through the first one.

Holy crap, I remember (vaguely) playing that module way back when. Well, mostly I remember how much archery makes a fight go easy, but still...
